Pets again!

I'm going to confess, I've enjoyed this contest so much more than the others I've had on the website. It's been great to see a more personal side of all of you. I've loved meeting your pets as well. My Ethel is curled up next to me on the couch as I do this week's blogs. It's been a year since we rescued her from the pound. We suspect she was abused. But over this last year, she's gone from skittish to cuddly.

Okay, another contest, favorite pet, entry:

I have had several unforgettable pets who, to my joy, have lived well beyond their life expectancies. My delight now is my English tortoise haired feline named 'Banshee'. Born a wild barn cat she has embraced the pampered indoor life. She runs to greet me at the door when I return. She 'answers' me when scolded for jumping on the table. (Very sassy!) If I am not feeling well she is at my side. Her cold nose prods mine if I do not rise early enough. She asks for very little. An ear scratch, food, water. Oh yes, please check..the BOX. In return she is a great comfort. ~Peggy
Only a couple more weeks to enter. I'll draw the winner on March 1!

  1. When I was 6 years old we got a dog, not intentionally but this dog lived for 18 years. Each summer we spent 3 weeks at a fishing camp on a lake and the family that ran this place had several dogs. These dogs were unique, orange in color with Collie-like faces and intelligent eyes and beautiful, small bodies, sturdy and cute. They said that when the next litter is expected we could have one of them and my mother said ok. She totally forgot about it and then her uncle, who lived in the lake area, was given the dog and arrived unexpectedly on our doorstep with the dog. Ginger was the name we gave her. She was part of the family in no time with a sweet nature and a steadfast and true friend.

  3. Alissa,

Thanks for sharing with us. I've never met an Airdale, but these ones sound special. And I love the name Izzie!
