Another Day of Beauty!!

Today was a running around day.  I went to the nursing home, picked up a form and had to run it downtown... While I was there, I decided to give myself a beauty break.  Uh, no, I'm not talking about a day at the salon. I'm talking about a visit to the Art Museum.  I went to the museum for that talk with Ohio artist, Susan Shie, a couple weeks ago.  She's amazing. I wanted to see the full Earth Stories exhibit.  Here are a few pics in no particular order...

And here's Susan Shie's piece in the collection.  Uh, if you read my first Day of Beauty, you'll remember how much I like making myself part of the art (see my shadow?).

After the visit, I went next door to Glass Growers.  If you've never been...go.  I drop in every time I'm down that way because they always have something new and cool.  I've mentioned before that I love to collect Erie stuff.  We have a number of prints.  Well, today I bought a cool picture of Beach 10 on Presque Isle by Jason Floyd Lewis.  (You can see my reflection in it as well! LOL)

If you're one of my Erie friends, head down to the Art Museum and then stop in and check out Glass Growers.
This isn't a paid endorsement...I just love my city! If you're not in the area, I hope you enjoy visiting through my books and blog.  And if you're in the area, drop in for a real visit!!

Everything But a Groom's a Top 101 Romances of the last 10 Years!

Everything But a Groom is the first book in my Everything But... Series.  I found out today it made Booklist's Top 101 Romances of the Last 10 Years list!  I'm so jazzed!  I'll confess, I loved this sweet little romance about a Hungarian grandmother who accidentally cursed her family to bad weddings.  After she broke the curse at the end of the first trilogy, I missed her and it turned out, so did readers.  So I went on to write a second trilogy where Nana Vancy tries her hand at matchmaking.

Since then she's had cameos in my Nothing But...short story trilogy, in Christmas in Cupid Falls and even Carry Her Heart.  She's a reader favorite and she's one of mine, too!  So on behalf of Nana Vancy and myself, thank you Booklist!  And thank you to all the readers who've fallen in love with my slightly offbeat Hungarian grandma!

Well, for those of you who've emailed me to say you were having trouble buying EVERYTHING BUT A GROOM...it's because they sold out of the 1st printing and it's going into its second printing!! I'm so jazzed.

This was a December Avalon Books release. They're hardback books that are mainly marketed to libraries. So thanks to all the libraries who've already bought their copies, and thanks to the individual readers who bought a copy for those shelves!

Gearing up...

Wow, it's almost the end of November. They year's really flown by. I'm starting to gear up for Christmas...all the kids will be home, and that's a huge treat! I'm also gearing up for the release of the first book in a new Avalon series, Everything But a Groom. I've got to confess, I adore the cover!
Avalon Books' primary markets are libraries. The book's not out until the end of December, but you can request that your local library order it now. And I know a number of you order your own copies. They'll be available online at Amazon and B&N on December 24. But in the meantime, I updated my My SPACE page. I hope you'll check it out. And if you're on MY SPACE, I'd love to be your friend!
I've also started a new holiday contest. Information about entering is on my homepage.
