A Book By Any Other Cover...

You know the saying...a rose by any other name would smell as sweet?  I'm not sure that applies to books and covers.  Over the years, I've had some awesome covers...and I've had some stinkers.  I'm not sure that readers know that writers don't get final say (sometimes ANY say) on covers, titles and those back cover blurbs.  That's right, we don't...it's considered marketing.

But I know that sometimes what marketing people think readers like is totally different than what they like!

So what kind of cover do you like??  I have a few more books coming out this year and will have at least some input on the covers.  I'd like to know what you prefer!!

Frankly, no matter what the cover or the title (I've had some great ones of those and a few stinkers, too) the stories are mine.  Whether comedy or drama, romance or mystery, women's fiction or contemporary romance...  They're me.  They're stories from my heart...that hopefully will touch your heart.

So which of my covers are your favorites?  Which not so much??  I'd really appreciate the help!!

Love can be a sticky situation...I Waxed My Legs for This??

Happy Summer, everyone!  I'm back from Ireland...oh, it was a lovely trip!  You can see pictures here. It's been busy here. We've got the garden planted finally!  And speaking of finally...today, I Waxed My Legs for This? is finally available as an ebook!!  (This is one of my comedies...although I'm guessing you guessed that from the title!) What's it about??? Carrie has a few small problems. 1. She's just broken up with her fettuccini-ordering boyfriend. 2. Her legs are covered in wax and it hurts too much to rip it off herself.  3. And maybe, just maybe, she's a bit in love with her best friend who never orders fettuccini and rides to the rescue when she needs someone to tear the wax off her legs. Ever since Jack saved Carrie's life in school by giving her mouth-to-mouth, he's ridden to her rescue time after time. When she confesses that his resuscitation was her first kiss, he decides to show her what a real kiss looks like...and maybe what true love looks like as well! It's been a busy spring here!  There are a lot of new releases, and some older books being rereleased! The weekend before I left for Ireland, I went to Barbara Vey's Reader Appreciation Luncheon!  Here's a small tour!!  Carry Her Heart is a finalist in the Holt Medallion Award...it won the Golden Leaf Award this year!  I'm so glad that readers enjoyed Pip and Ned's story.  There's a sequel, Hold Onto Her Heart coming out this fall!   Congrats to subscribers Lisa and Rita who won the autographed book bags I brought back from that luncheon you toured in the video! I've got a few more subscriber-only surprises lined up for the next few months!
